What it's all about

Following on from the success of last year’s Holiday Club  we will once again be running a Holiday Club during the summer holidays from Monday 2 August – Friday 6 August.

The material, Pyramid Rock, is again written by Dave Godfrey, who presented Holiday Club  last year.  We will be following Joseph in his journey with an action packed week of fun and excitement and as we do we hope that the stories, songs, games and fun will lead the children to learn more about the love of Jesus, which gives us all a certain hope for the future. Last year we had over 130 children, and we are looking forward to welcoming most of them back as well as their friends – please do register early!

As a church, we are excited about the challenges of Holiday Club, we are supported in prayer by our church family.   The cost of running this event has been met by the church and therefore there is no charge for any child attending.

The morning programme runs from  10.00 am – 12.00 noon for children who have completed school years reception, Year 1 or Year 2  (Doors open 9.45am)
The afternoon programme runs from 1.30pm-3.30pm for children who have completed school Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 or Year 6.  (Doors open 1.15pm)

Our aim is to provide children with good quality bible teaching, combined with lots and lots of fun.  Each session will be fast-moving, fun and creative and will include

• Drama
• Games
• Craft
• Songs

To launch this exciting week, we would love to see you at our special Holiday Club service on Sunday 31 July at 10.00 am where we will set the scene for the weeks activities.

Our Holiday Club will close on Sunday 8 August with a special service at 10.00am when we will recap on the weeks teaching and activities – it would be great to see you there as well.

Each child will be well-looked after by a dedicated group of volunteers, all of whom have received training for the event and have been CRB cleared.  If you have any concerns about your children attending Holiday Club, and you would like to discuss them, please do contact us on 07772268613 or e-mail holidayclub@knaresboroughurc.org .  We will have a registered first-aider in the building at all times.  Our building complies with current fire regulations and your child’s safety is paramount at all times.
