COMING SOON TO KNARESBOROUGH URC
Why are you here on earth? What is your purpose in life? Where are you heading in life? Millions of people ask these questions of themselves and at KURC we would like to help you think them through. We are running a Christianity Explored course which offers, in a relaxed atmosphere, what it means to know God through the person of Jesus Christ.
Each person attending will be given a copy of the Gospel of Mark and a course handbook. The course runs for seven weeks and will take place on a Thursday evening each week beginning at 7pm with a free meal followed by the course DVD, then some group work and it should finish around 9pm. The course will run from 19th September to 31st October with a possible day away (Saturday 26th October) at Scargill House in the Yorkshire Dales. Why not come along and explore the meaning of life?
Good news: What are we doing here?,br /> Identity: Who is Jesus?
Sin: Why did Jesus come?
The cross: Why did Jesus die?
Resurrection: Why did Jesus rise?
Grace: How can God accept us?
Possible Away Day -The Sower: Listen Carefully and James and John: Ask humbly
Come and die: What does it mean to follow Jesus?

CHRIST IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN INDEED - ALLELUIA!
During Lent we placed symbols of Jesus' journey to death, on a simple wooden cross -
on Easter Sunday we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord by removing these items and adding flowers to the cross
to symbolise the new life we have in our risen Lord Jesus.
Jesus was obedient to death,
but death had no power over him
and through his resurrection we can now have a living, loving relationship with our Father God.
