Charity Giving › Knaresborough United Reformed Church Charity Giving

For many years we have been privileged to be able to help people less fortunate than ourselves by our charity giving. On a regular basis we support The Sylvia Wright Trust (India), the Philippine Outreach Centre, CWM, The Leprosy Mission,Tear Fund, Christian Aid, the Friendship Fund and several others as 'one offs'. In times of urgent need e.g. earthquakes, we usually respond quickly with special collections.

Our support for The Harrogate and District Homeless project is ongoing, with donations of food and essential personal items, as well as a monetary donation from our Candlelight Carol Service.

We have a special Gift Service in December where we bring gifts for the mothers and children at Mount Cross Hostel in Leeds which is run by the Salvation Army which we have supported for many years.

Each year, there are two main charities to which the bulk of our charity effort will be dedicated.
