Kids.com share the first part of the worship and then leave to meet in their own groups.
Our style of worship is a healthy mix of the traditional and modern as our congregation includes people of a wide range of ages and aspirations.
In recent years a group from the church has attended Spring Harvest. This has been an inspirational time for both adults and children enabling them to share and grow in faith as they share fellowship with both old friends and new. It has been a valuable opportunity to experience different styles of worship and to apply scripture to everyday life. The whole church family has benefited from the sharing of experiences and the variety of new songs brought back.
Worship Plus! has no definite pattern. This is a more informal time of worship, which has taken various forms. It has been a time of quiet reflection, a time for prayer and meditation, a lively praise time, a time when people have shared testimonies, including some of our young people, or a combination of various types of worship.
Other services:
Occasional joint services with the other four URC churches in the Harrogate area.
United services with Churches Together in Knaresborough for special festivals.
Choir Practices take place on alternate Friday evenings. The choir in its present form has been in existence since 1990, with a membership of about 15. There are no auditions, but all who feel they can play a part are welcome to join the choir. The choir is a fellowship which encourages the congregation in its worship. Its main function is to take part in morning worship with an appropriately chosen introit, but also seeks to take its worship to other churches and to other venues.
The Praise Band meets for practice on alternative Sunday evenings for practice. Whilst our worship is varied, the band introduces the congregation to the newer songs and leads them. It also takes the opportunity to take our worship to other churches.
