Though the Government has allowed churches to open for Worship from the 4th July, each church needs to individually decide what they will do or can do with regard to the regulations and restrictions this will entail.
We held gatherings of the two churches on Monday and Wednesday evenings last week( wk.beg.3rd Aug.) to consider how we will go about reopening our buildings.
Both churches felt that with the Covid-19 situation changing rapidly at present and still many saying they would not feel able to come into the building, we will not rush back into opening our buildings for worship and will reconsider this again in the first week of September.
That said, the Elders will meet together again on Monday next week as we felt it important to continue to carry on the work to make our buildings Covid secure and complete the actions of our Risk Assessments. This would make us ready to recommence worship and would mean that we can hold funeral services as the need arises.
Knaresborough felt that opening for lettings was not appropriate at present.
We continue to pray for this situation as we work our way through what God requires of us at this time.
With love in Christ
