Holiday Club 2021
An Update on ‘Seaside Rock’ – Holiday Club 2021
After discussions within the church, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided NOT to go ahead with Holiday Club 2021 this year. It was a hard decision for us to make but was made for the safety of everyone involved. We felt that as we would probably just be out of the restrictions it would be safer not to mix such a large number of children and adults. The plan is to prepare for 2022 using the same material chosen for this year. Please do stay in touch with us and keep watching this web site to see what we are doing. You will be very welcome to join in with us in whatever may be going on! The plan is to prepare for 2022 using the same material chosen for this year. Thank you to all for your intended support this year and we hope to see you all next year, God willing.
May God be with you in these difficult times.
With much love in Christ
The Holiday Club Team
We will not be running a Holiday Club during the week beginning Monday 26th July and running until Friday 30th July – from 10.00am-12 noon. this year. The club is for all primary school aged children, including those who have completed the Foundation Stage. Doors open at 9.45am.
Seaside Rock will be our eleventh children’s Holiday Club and each year we welcome a large number of children receiving wonderfully positive feedback. The leaders and the children have a fantastic week and relationships are made between children and also with their parents.
This years Holiday Club focuses on the story of Peter – one of Jesus’ first disciples. Called from his job as a fisherman Peter became a fisher of people. We journey with Peter from the moment Jesus called him from his fishing nets, as he travels with Jesus and learns more about God than he could ever have imagined and as he realises just how amazingly forgiving our God can be.
There will, of course, be drama and craft, song and time for discussion, puppets and after all the business, time for a snack.
Through out the week we will see how Jesus demonstrated Gods power through acts of healing, showed compassion to those in need and ultimately died so that we can enjoy everlasting life. We see Peter deny knowing his Saviour and see him reinstated by his best friend and Saviour.
As a church, we are excited about the challenges of Holiday Club and we give thanks that we are supported in prayer by our wider church family. The cost of running this event has been met by the church and therefore there is no charge for any child attending.
Our aim is to provide children with good quality Bible teaching, combined with lots and lots of fun. Each session will be fast-moving, fun and creative and will include
